Language Tutor is designed to keep learning activity on your device. The app does not require an account and does not sell personal information.
Language Tutor stores your learning progress and preferences locally on your device. We do not operate user accounts and do not receive your lesson progress, phrasebook activity, quiz answers, spoken practice transcripts, or theme/language preferences.
Language Tutor uses Google Mobile Ads to show ads. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or process information such as device identifiers, coarse location, advertising data, product interaction, performance data, and crash data for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, and app functionality. Some of this data may be used for tracking or personalized advertising depending on your device settings, consent choices, and Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission.
You can manage tracking permission in the iOS Settings app. You can also learn more about Google's advertising privacy practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
If you choose to practice speaking, the app asks for permission to use the microphone and speech recognition. Audio is transcribed on your device using Apple's speech recognition tools. Your voice is not recorded or stored by Language Tutor. On supported systems, the app may download Apple's on-device speech recognition model for a selected language if it is not already installed.
Your learning progress and preferences, such as selected language, dialect, conversation settings, completed lessons, mastery levels, and theme, are saved in the app's local storage on your device. This information is deleted when you delete the app.
Language Tutor does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising partners may process data as described above when ads are shown.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
